PROPUESTA PEDAGÓGICA PARA TRANSFORMAR LA FORMACIÓN DEPORTIVA EVITANDO SU EXPLOTACION: ESCUELA JUEGO LIMPIO CANDELARIA SOLEDAD
Abstract
The present study addresses the need for a transformation in sports training, implementing this approach at the “Fair Play” soccer school to ensure that sports education is developed according to children’s needs, thus preventing sports exploitation. Nowadays, this issue appears in several forms from inadequate guidance provided by coaches and parents to inappropriate behaviors and unfavorable directives that lead to demotivation among young athletes.
To manage all of this and promote better sports development, a pedagogical proposal was designed that establishes a psychological, socio-emotional, and motor structure, encompassing a comprehensive approach that fosters reflection both in the child’s life and in that of the adults around them.
The development of this proposal addressed sports exploitation by using a Likert-type survey as a method to reveal the perspectives of 14 children from the school regarding the sports instruction they received, along with a semi-structured interview applied to 2 coaches and 9 parents in order to interpret their positions on this issue. The results showed that such exploitation is still present today, and that strategies such as the application of values, assertive communication between coach and athlete, and effective parental support in the sports training process have a significant impact on developing well-rounded athletes.
